Interview Process

Cooper Industries begins its college recruiting season in the fall by attending campus career fairs, which allows us to introduce Cooper to interested students. Current Cooper employees attend career fairs at their alma maters to discuss opportunities at Cooper with students.

In late September, we begin visiting campuses for screening interviews. We coordinate these interviews with the career centers for each university for which we recruit. A schedule of these visits can be found in this website under the Recruiting Schedule link. In order to be considered for employment in one of Cooper Industries leadership programs, you MUST complete a profile on the Cooper website. This should be done immediately after you have been chosen for a first round interview. If you do not attend one of the universities from which we regularly recruit, we can make arrangements to talk to you about your interest in Cooper Industries. Contact information can be found in the Contact Us portion of this website.

The last step in the process is a second round interview at our corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. Top candidates are brought to Houston for a day of interviewing. The evening before the interview, candidates meet informally with representatives from Cooper who answer applicant questions about Cooper Industries or the position for which they are seeking.
